Intellectual Property

Effective Date: 16 August 2025

Medisin is an online platform providing access to a curated selection of medical educational resources. This policy sets out our position on intellectual property, our treatment of third-party content, and the procedure for submitting infringement notices.

This policy is governed exclusively by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, including the Copyright Act 2014 and other applicable national statutes. We are not established, registered, or operated in the United States or the European Union and are therefore not subject to their domestic intellectual property regimes, including but not limited to the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

1. General Statement

Medisin aggregates and references publicly available educational materials, which may originate from third parties. The inclusion of such content does not imply ownership, endorsement, or affiliation. All rights in third-party materials remain with their respective rights holders.

2. Our Content and Rights

All Medisin trademarks, branding, logos, and original website design elements are the sole property of Medisin and are protected under Indonesian intellectual property law. Any third-party content appearing on the platform is used for non-commercial, informational, and educational purposes under applicable statutory allowances.

We make no claim of ownership over externally sourced content. References, summaries, quotations, and external links are provided in good faith and solely for informational and academic use.

3. Notices of Alleged Infringement

If you believe content on Medisin infringes your rights, you must submit a written notice via our designated Intellectual Property Notice Submission form. The notice must include:

  • Proof of your authority to represent the rights holder.
  • A precise identification of the allegedly infringing material, including its exact URL on our platform.
  • Your full legal name, address, and a valid contact method.
  • A signed declaration affirming, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized under applicable law.

Incomplete or unclear notices will not be reviewed. We may request additional documentation before making any determination.

4. Handling of Notices

Upon receiving a compliant notice, we will assess it in accordance with Indonesian law and our internal procedures. Any action we take, including content modification or removal, is done without admission of liability and entirely at our discretion.

5. External Content

Medisin may reference or link to materials hosted on external servers outside our control and potentially outside Indonesia. We do not guarantee the legality, availability, or accuracy of third-party content. Responsibility for such content rests solely with the hosting entity or content provider.

6. Contact

All intellectual property notices must be submitted exclusively through our Intellectual Property Notice Submission form. Notices sent by email, social media, or other channels will not be acknowledged or processed.
